About

Who I Am.
My name is Jim Fannin and for 12 years (November 7, 1997 – August 28, 2009) I was a wrestler, manager, commentator, ring announcer, referee, gimmick table seller, security, booker, gopher, and stooge for IWA Mid-South Wrestling. The only thing I never did on a show was DJ. This website is going to be clips and matches that I was involved in and some of my favorite angles that I did. After 15+ years of regretting my decisions and having nothing to show for those 12 years of my life, I have decided to put up these clips. Still not much to show for it but at least it is something.

Why It Matters
Spent 12 years (1997-2009) in IWA Mid South as one of the top heels for most of my time. I was the “co-owner” of the company and had 2 different feuds with Ian Rotten as we fought over who should control the company on the business side of things. The second feud lasted 2 years and culminated at War Games in 2005. Ian Rotten‘s team won War Games and I went into retirement and was ready to legit walk away completely. I was burnt out. I was depressed. I was miserable. Then our heavyweight champion at the time, Jimmy Jacobs, took a booking on a rival promotion’s show and threw the IWA Mid South title in the trash. Then he was stupid enough to come back to IWA. No one…AND I MEAN NO ONE…carried the IWA Mid South banner with more pride than I did. Not even Ian Rotten. So every time I thought I was out…I got pulled back in. I was about to let Jimmy Jacobs get away with that. I had to send a message to him and to everyone else in the IWA locker room…take a payday from that promotion to talk shit about IWA and you had to answer to me and my posse. So Jimmy Jacobs and I waged war for 4 long years from December 2005 to August of 2009. Ian decided to announce that IWA was closing for the millionth time and I took that opportunity to cut a retirement promo in the middle of the ring saying that when IWA Inevitably came back…I wouldn’t be there. I was done. And I have been out of the business ever since. And IWA was running shows again like 2 months later and did the “we’re closing…we’re coming back“ Hokey Pokey half a dozen more times.
